- Satpura and Vindhya mountains separate this from the Northern India.
- What is a Plateau? An area of fairly high level ground.
- What are the major landforms? Mountains, Plains, Hills and Plateau.
- What is Archaeology? Study of the remains of human life in the past.
- What are Artefacts? Excavated objects like tools, weapons. ornaments, pottery and even toys.

- What the people were, and their occupations , trade, which Gods were worshipped, their dress and how they treated the dead.
